History of DOCS
DOCS International was established in the Netherlands in 1997 and continue towards the vision of becoming the leading pan-European Staffing Company for the Healthcare Industries.
From the outset DOCS provided Permanent Placement of Clinical Research professionals in the Netherlands then added Contract Placement services in the Clinical Research arena to the portfolio in 1999.
Following on from this success DOCS expanded in 2000 to provide both Permanent and Contract placement employees in the Netherlands in Sales and Marketing positions, further extending the range to include Medical Devices the following year.
Growth into Europe commenced in 2002 with offices opening in France, Germany and the Nordic countries, then expanding into the UK, Sweden and Poland in 2003. Later that year DOCS formed an alliance with the US company Clinforce Inc. as their partner in Europe.
CRAcademy was founded in late 2004. Working in partnership with the Institute of Clinical Research (ICR) and DOCS Clients across Europe, CRAcademy provides training programmes and traineeships to start and develop candidates’ careers within the Healthcare Industries.
In late 2006, DOCS opened its European headoffice in Amstelveen, bringing the total number of DOCS offices to 10, located in 8 different countries.
As of July 1st 2007, DOCS International was acquired by ICON Contracting Solutions (ICS), based in New York, to form a global specialist staffing division.
