The Health Economics Manager concerns himself with an eclectic array of tasks concerning the economic placing of the company and its products. This is often accomplished in four working areas, namely, pricing strategies, reimbursement strategies, implementing health economics data for product support and internal and external market environment.

Qualifications

A candidate for Health Economics Manager must be in possession of a BS/BA in a relevant field such as public health or health economics and have experience in the health economic field. Therefore the candidate should have knowledge of the pharmaceutical industry and its market. He or she has excellent English and local language skills; both verbal and written.

Tasks

    • Liaise on pricing & reimbursement and clinical development requirements
    • Design, develop and implement global health economic strategies for company brands
    • Support marketing & sales department through use of health economic data
    • Manage the efficient and timely provision of key health economic deliverables
    • Manage the integration of economic and quality of life parameters into the Phase III development
    • Manage the process of identifying the potential economic profile of drug at an early development stage in order to support research prioritization and development decisions
    • Study market environment in order to collect up-to-date knowledge on pricing and competitors
    • Represent company internally and externally on all health economic matters
