Description
The role of the Marketing Manager is to define and execute a marketing plan in order to develop and maintain long-term business partnerships. This person should ensure an increase of revenue success with support from the Marketing department. Through coaching and guiding the Marketing team to ensure that key messages are given to the key decision makers. The Marketing Manager generally reports to the Business Unit Manager Marketing & Sales or directly to the General Manager.
Qualifications (Education)
A candidate for the position of Marketing Manager requires a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Life Sciences, Business, Economics or Marketing degree, a PhD and/or MBA and extensive experience in marketing.

- Initiate marketing strategies and coordinate actions to influence the market
- Ability to discuss strategic and sensitive issues
- Understand and develop long term business vision
- Leadership skills including recognising the strengths and weaknesses in others as well as oneself
- Analytical expertise in understanding complex issues and their consequences
Tasks
- Develop and execute a marketing and sales strategy
- Ability to work effectively with both internal and external stakeholders
- Organize seminars and give training to Sales staff to upgrade the knowledge of the solution and validation driven demand within the market
- Initiate and support sales activities
- Support subsidiaries in presentations, seminars and training for (potential) customers
- Report and where necessary take corrective actions to improve the various situation both externally and internally
