Description
The role of Medical Writer can be related to all areas of researching, writing, and editing clinical/statistical reports and study protocols. He/she has the responsibility of writing up specific research reports, manuscript, patient information or other documentation required by pharmaceutical or related companies.
Qualifications
A candidate for Medical Writer should be in possession of a BA/BS, preferably in the field of (bio-medical) science or in possession of a medical or journalistic PhD. He/she must have excellent writing skills.

- Work precisely according to procedures, rules and regulations
- Approach issues from a number of perspectives, summarising data to draw a conclusion
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to work unsupervised taking responsibility for own actions
- Systematically perform activities in a timely and accurate manner
Tasks
- Preparation of documentation for medical communications programmes (e.g. website stories, abstracts, manuscripts) in collaboration with account teams
- Provide project management of writing-only projects
- Ensure all documents are well-organised, accurate, consistent, and in compliance with applicable company SOPs and regulations
- Interact with personnel from other functional areas
- Summarizes data from clinical studies
