Description

Project Managers are responsible for ensuring that the many different tasks during clinical development and marketing are achieved. The Project Manager assumes responsibility for an individual project, or many projects. As he/she is the liaison with the sponsor, the project manager communicates in an optimal way, making sure that specific sponsor objectives are met. In contrast to the CRA Manager and the Clinical Trial Manager, the function of the Project Manager involves little or no people management and focuses completely on the product development programme and trials.

Qualifications

The most typical candidate for a CRA position possesses a bio-medical related scientific degree, which can vary from a bachelor, master and/or nursing qualifications.
The candidate should have knowledge of ICH-GCP and a strong interest in clinical research. He/she should have knowledge of all relevant aspects of Clinical Research and demonstrate successful project management skills.

Tasks

    • Selection of research locations
    • Responsible for the set-up and maintenance of the administrative structure and the infrastructure of the project(s)
    • Partially responsible for the development of research protocols and documents, such as CRF, publications and clinical rapports
    • Responsible for the management of the study budget
    • Establish and guard study time-lines and protocol specific SOPs
